Two of Galena Park ISD’s (GPISD) Teachers of the Year were a part of “Friday Night Lights” on September 1^st. Just as the North Shore Mustangs took on the Spring Lions, the College Football Playoff National Championship Foundation’s 2024 Host Committee (under the direction of the Harris County Sports Authority and the support of Houston Loves Teachers–a citywide campaign for the recruitment, retention, recognition, and professional development of educators) awarded an Extra Yard for Teachers Game Ball to Camryn Goodman and Tyneasha Turk. Goodman and Turk are GPISD’s 2023 Secondary and Elementary Teachers of the Year [respectively]. Their dedication, passion, and resilience inside and outside of the classroom were recognized and applauded!
