Friday, September 8, 2023, was the observation of Grandparents’ Day in Galena Park ISD (GPISD), and it was a special day for students to show appreciation and love for their grandparents. Like many other districts, GPISD schools recognized this special day by inviting grandparents to join their grandchildren for breakfast and lunch. This was also an opportunity for grandparents to spend quality time with their grandchildren and to see firsthand what their daily lives are like at school. Overall, Grandparents’ Day was a wonderful opportunity for families and schools to come together and celebrate the entire family. By welcoming grandparents to join their grandchildren at school, GPISD honored these special bonds and created lasting memories for generations to come. Grandparents make GPISD…A Great Place to Be!
