  • School Supplies and Student Dress Code 2020-2021

    GPISD will provide school supplies for students for the start of school, with the exception of notebook/binder paper, pens, and pencils (parents should provide these items). Specialty classes may have additional requirements.

  • Reopening of Schools 2020-2021

    Plans are underway to welcome our students and staff back to school for the 2020-2021 school year! Please check this webpage often to keep updated on the latest news and plans for reopening our schools and to become familiar with the options presented to parents/guardians for their child(ren)s' educational settings for the 2020-2021 school year. Please note, however, that Reopening Plans are subject to change in order to remain in compliance with ever-changing guidance from our local and state officials, the Harris County Public Health Department (HCPH), the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

  • Chromebook and Hotspot Return and Restitution

    Galena Park I.S.D. will begin accepting Chromebook and Hotspot returns on Monday, June 1st through Wednesday, June 3rd. Please return your devices to the campus where you originally checked it out. Specific return dates, times and locations and restitution information if damage was incurred during the time in your possession can be located on the Chromebook Return webpage.

  • GPISD Parent Survey

  • Student Essential Items Pick-Up Postponed Untill Tomorrow May 27, 2020.

    Parents will not be able to pick up students essential items today due to a water main break in the community. We have no running water in the school. We will hold this event tomorrow Wednesday May 27 9-11 and 4-6. We apologize for the inconvenience. Estimados Padres debido a una ruptura de la línea de agua tendremos que posponer la distribución de objetos esenciales por que no hay agua. Este evento se a reprogramado para mañana 27 de mayo de 9-11 y 4-6. De antemano les pedimos disculpas por este cambio inesperado. Gracias.

  • Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons

    As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.

    Galena Park ISD regularly provides mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. These messages not only drive positive educational outcomes, they can also save lives.
