The WAMS Stingers are a close-knit group of ladies that love to dance. We perform choreographed routines at home football and basketball games. We enjoy dancing in a wide variety of styles, including hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. In addition to performing at games we partner up with our big sisters, the GPHS Jacketeers, to take part in large scale school events such as the Homecoming Parade, games at GPISD Stadium, Winter / Spring showcase, and competitions.
However, we know that being a Stingers is about more than just dancing! As representatives of our school, we recognize the responsibility of being an example to others, being good citizens and helping out our community. Our charisma on the dance floor is matched only by our positive attitude and is constantly on display. Whether we are at competition, at a game, or simply walking down the hall on our way to class, we strive to interact with others in a positive and respectful way. We also believe that, no matter what, we are a team! This means we look out for and support each other.
If you are interested in being a part of our awesome team, feel free to reach out to Ms. R. Walton, the team coach. She'd love to talk to you.
